Why conditioning matters more as we age?
Most injuries and mobility losses do not happen all at once — they develop slowly from years of improper movement patterns, muscle imbalances, and insufficient stabilization. Proper conditioning rebuilds the foundation: core stability, joint alignment, balanced muscle recruitment, and controlled range of motion. These are the things that keep you moving freely and living without pain — not just now, but years from now.
My background bridges the gap between physical therapy and full range of motion training. Years of working alongside chiropractors and physical therapists has deeply shaped my approach — and reinforced my appreciation for the OPT model's emphasis on building the body up correctly from the start. Every program I design addresses both the clinical and the practical sides of keeping your body working well.
NASM uses an Optimum Performance Training (OPT) model to prioritize training in phases. Most people jump straight to intensity — skipping core foundations or simply training around limitations: heavy weights, high reps, pushing harder. The OPT model takes a smarter scientific approach, starting with how well your body moves before asking more of it. That foundation is what makes everything else work.
I use this training style to help clients sculpt and tone, reduce body fat, build muscle, reduce or eliminate pain from injuries, improve athletic performance, boost natural energy, and achieve desired aesthetic results — healthfully and sustainably.
How to schedule ?
Sessions are available in-home in Sarasota, at Balance Fitness Personal Training Studio in downtown Sarasota, or virtually wherever you are.
